Project collaboration lets you invite people to work with you as team members on your LinkWare Live projects. You give team members roles that let them do some or all of the tasks you can do in the projects.
You can invite people from inside or outside of your company to be on a project team. For example:
- Internal Users are usually people who work for your company, such as technicians and project managers.
Invite an internal user to be a Manager so he can add or edit project's test setups and cable IDs in projects.
Invite an internal user to be a Tech so he can view results and test setups to help customers troubleshoot problems.
- External Users are usually people who are outside of your company, such as subcontractors and customers.
Invite a subcontractor to a subproject to be the Subproject Manager so he can add his technicians to the team and create test setups and cable IDs for his subprojects. External Users have access only to subprojects.
Invite a customer to the team as a Viewer so he can use Linkware Live to see test results and monitor the progress on his project.
You can invite external users only to subprojects, and external users have access only to subprojects.
Projects that you share with external users have the collaboration icon, , on the main PROJECTS page.
